Seed discs / “HEXAMat”

The convenience type product from seed tape range, created mainly for seeding in pots, can also be applied directly in the garden if there are larger disc diameters. The application is as simple as in case of seed tapes. Herbs and flowers arranged in perfect circles are first to attract the attention in each garden. The seed discs are made of high quality cellulose and therefore they are fully biodegradable.

Technical information:
Standard formats: diameter of 7 and 8 cm (mainly for herbs and similar products)
Possible sizes: until the diameter of approximately 45 cm
Minimum order amount: 5000 pieces of one product in case of standard products, round seed disc with the diameter from 7 to 8 cm, in case of larger items – 3000 pieces of one product.

Our so-called “HEXAMat” is the more efficient alternative to a seed disc. The hexagonal shape, modelled on the cell of a honeycomb, enables an optimal allocation of units during the production in comparison with the circular shape, without leaving unused gaps. This means that up to 99% less organic waste will be generated and resources are used effectively.

Other sizes and individual/personalized shapes (e.g. a heart or a clover etc.) are available upon request.

The seeds are applied in a way that does not cause any damage. The monochromatic print is applied onto the seeds in non-contact technology. It is possible to put the tiny pictograms. If interested, please contact us about this issue.

Please remember that we solely process the seeds we are given, the seeds must be especially prepared for the canal method (by calibration and cleaning). We can clean the seeds for an additional charge.

We estimate the necessary amount of seeds according to your wishes and requirements and while taking into consideration the most precise seed application. Please consider the fact that the additional amount of about 1 litre of seeds is necessary to start the production line for your product. This amount will be returned to you with the delivery of goods.

If it is reported before, it is possible to get the tape seed certification by forest certification and obtain the EU eco labelling [Euro Leaf].
